Mediation Links
The power and success of mediation rests in the skills and dynamics introduced by
a neutral third party. Mediation is not simply a case of trying to get the parties
to "split their differences". It is a sophisticated process requiring lateral thinking,
creativity, guidance and determination. ADR Group works with top professionals to
help them better manage situations of conflict and aims to provide them with the
necessary skills and techniques to become effective mediators. Mediator success
continues well past the training environment; it is a continuous learning environment
and ADR Group offers this ongoing support to all member mediators. In celebrating
its 15th anniversary, ADR Group continues to strive for innovation and
excellence in mediator training programmes and provision of professional mediation
services.
CEDR is an independent non-profit making organisation supported by members from
multinational business and leading professional bodies. Its mission is to encourage
and develop mediation and other cost-effective dispute resolution and prevention
techniques in commercial and public-sector disputes.
CEDR Solve, CEDR's dispute resolution and prevention service, is not only the UK's
leading commercial mediation provider, but also offers a range of other assisted
dispute resolution services, including expert determination, adjudication and early
neutral evaluation. CEDR Solve is one of the few truly independent dispute resolution
advisers with neither law firms, mediators or special interest groups as financial
stakeholders.
Family Mediation provides an opportunity to meet with professionally trained mediators
in a neutral and confidential setting. Family Mediation is a way of resolving difficulties
through joint meetings with the help of a trained impartial person. It creates an
opportunity to sort out practical family arrangements, particularly during separation
and divorce. Jersey Family Mediation Service offers family mediation at its base
in St Helier. Although it shares premises with Relate the two services are not otherwise
connected.
