The Jersey Law Review - October 2004
LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Sir,
A STICKLER STICKLES
I read Advocate Simon Howitt’s article The nature of tenancies under Guernsey law with great interest, especially with regard to its rich historical content.
At pp. 181-82, reference is made in paras 25 and 26, and n.32, to somewhat obscure judgments of the Royal Court of Guernsey. To take these references seriatim, their originals are to be located in the registers of the Royal Court preserved at the Greffe as follows:
Date | Case | Reference |
21 October 1721 | Tramallier and Shade v. Blanchet and Le Page | Samedi, xiii, f. 146r. |
27 February 1731 | Martin v. Louis | Samedi, xviii, f. 23r. |
31 October 1797 | Perchard v. Gould | Jugements et Vues de Justice, iv, pp. 112-14 |
Yours faithfully,
Dr D. M. OGIER
