1. LAWS ADOPTED BY THE STATES

This Law repeals Article 51 of the States of Jersey Law 2005.
(b) Public Finances (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.133/2005 - adopted 20.9.05)
This Law amends the Public Finances (Jersey) Law 2005 in relation to expenditure approvals and propositions relating to taxation.
(c) Rates (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.170/2005 - adopted 27.9.05)
This Law provides for the imposition of parish rates, and a new Island-wide rate, on owners and occupiers of land within the parishes, and establishes Assessment Committees, a Supervisory Committee and a Rate Appeal Board.
(d) Consumer Safety (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.137/2005 - adopted 27.9.05)
This Law places a duty on producers and distributors of consumer goods to make the goods safe.
(e) Petroleum (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.164/2005 - adopted 29.9.05)
This Law amends the Petroleum (Jersey) Law 1984 to enable Regulations to prescribe, and to permit the Minister to prescribe, exemptions from the requirements of the Regulations.
(f) Terrorism (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.160/2005 - adopted 25.10.05)
This Law transfers to the Bailiff several functions of the Royal Court under the Terrorism (Jersey) Law 2002.
(g) Corruption (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.198/2005 - adopted 25.10. 05)
This Law sets out offences related to corruption and abolishes the customary law offence of bribery.
(h) Housing (Amendment No. 12)(Jersey) Law 200-

This Law restricts those who may, without the consent of the Minister, reside on land after it has been inherited.
(i) Law Revision (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Jersey) Law 200-

This Law repeals and amends various enactments.
(j) Highways (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.251/2005 - adopted 1.11.05)
This Law requires the highway authority to remove from a highway any debris arising from a road accident.
(k) Animal Welfare (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.252/2005 - adopted 1.11.05)
This Law makes provision in relation to conflicts of interest of inspectors.
(l) Income Tax (Amendment No. 25) (Jersey) Law 200-
(P.256/2005 - adopted 1.12.05)
This Law amends the Income Tax (Jersey) Law 1961. Amongst other things, it amends the provisions relating to international business companies, the income tax instalment system, the late filing penalty and the late payment surcharge.

These Regulations provide transitional arrangements allowing for the appointment of the Comptroller and Auditor General before the commencement of ministerial government.
(b) Public Employees (Retirement (Additional Contributions - Amendments)) (Jersey) Regulations 2005

These Regulations alter the liability for certain employers to pay contributions in respect of members of the PECRS retirement scheme.

(a) Police Procedures and Criminal Evidence (Application to Customs and Excise) (Amendment) (Jersey) Order 2005

This Order confers on an officer of the Impôts the power to detain persons for up to 6 hours, after they are charged with an offence, for the purpose of taking samples from them.
(b) Extradition (Treatment and Rights) (Jersey) Order 2005

This Order applies various Articles of the Police Procedures and Criminal Evidence (Jersey) Law 2003 to persons to whom the Extradition (Jersey) Law 2004 applies.

These Rules relate to proceedings under the Child Abduction and Custody (Jersey) Law 2005.
(d) Child Custody (Jurisdiction) Rules 2005

(e) Bankruptcy (Désastre) (Amendment No. 5) Rules 2005

This amendment increases to £2,500 the maximum sum to which priority is to be given under Article 32(1)(b) of the Bankruptcy (Désastre) (Jersey) Law 1990.
