THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES makes this Order under Articles 5,
5A(1) and 12A of the Medical Practitioners (Registration) (Jersey) Law 1960[1] –
1 Amendment of the
Medical Practitioners (Registration) (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2014
After Article 9 of the Medical Practitioners (Registration)
(General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2014[2] there is inserted –
“9A Modifications due to
outbreak of Covid-19
(1) Where the Minister has informed the Commission that an emergency
exists in Jersey due to the outbreak of Covid-19, this Order has effect with
the modifications in paragraph (2) for the period of the emergency.
(2) The modifications are –
(a) Article 4(1) has effect as if –
(i) in sub-paragraph (b) after “the
Schedule” there is inserted “unless the Commission does not consider it
reasonable in the circumstances to require those particulars and documents”;
(ii) sub-paragraph
(d) is deleted;
(b) Article 5(a) has effect as if after “section 3” there is
inserted “or 18A”.
(3) This Article expires on 30th September 2020.”.
2 Citation and
commencement
This Order may be cited as the Medical Practitioners (Registration)
(General Provisions) (Covid-19 – Temporary
Amendments) (Jersey) Order 2020 and comes into force the day after it is made.
