(Gathering Control) (Amendment No. 4)
(Jersey) Order 2021

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, after consulting the Medical
Officer of Health and the Council of Ministers, makes this Order under
Regulation 2 of the Covid-19 (Gatherings) (Jersey) Regulations 2020[1] –
1 Covid-19
(Gathering Control) (Jersey) Order 2020 amended
This Order amends the
Covid-19 (Gathering Control) (Jersey) Order 2020[2].
2 Article 3 (gatherings in people's homes) amended
In Article 3(2)(a)
and (b) for “3 years of age” there is substituted “5 years of age”.
3 Article 4 (gatherings in the open air) amended
After Article 4(1)
there is inserted –
“(1A) Paragraph (1)
does not apply to a gathering if –
(a) one or more of the people
gathering is a child under 5 years of age; and
(b) there are no more than
10 people of 5 years of age or older who take part in the
gathering.”.
4 Article 8 (exception: certain gatherings involving young
people) amended
In Article 8(1)(c)(iv)
after “organisers” there is inserted “and children under 5 years of age”.
5 Article 8A inserted
After Article 8 there is
inserted –
“8A Exception: certain
gatherings involving adults
No gathering control requirement in this Order applies in the case of
a controlled gathering (within the meaning given by Article 7) in the open
air to enable adults to take part in any sport or exercise if the total number
of people participating in, watching, supporting or facilitating the gathering
does not exceed 35.”.
6 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Covid-19 (Gathering Control)
(Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Order 2021 and comes into force on 8th March
2021.
