Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Implementation of External Sanctions) (Russia – Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2022

THE MINISTER FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS AND FINANCIAL SERVICES makes this Order under Articles 3 and 4 of the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Jersey) Law 2019 –

1        Schedule 1 (UK sanctions instruments implemented) amended

In the table in Schedule 1 to the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Implementation of External Sanctions) (Jersey) Order 2021, in column 5 of the row labelled “Russia” –

(a)     after “29(1),” there is inserted “29A(1),”;

(b)     “33(1), 34(1), 35(1), 36(1), 37(1), 37(2), 37(3), 37(4), 38(1),” is deleted;

(c)     after “57C(3)” there is inserted “, 57J(1), 57L(6), 57M(1), 57N(2), 57N(3), 57N(4)”.

2        Schedule 3 (special provisions) amended

In paragraph 4 of Schedule 3 to the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Implementation of External Sanctions) (Jersey) Order 2021 –

(a)     in the heading to that paragraph for “shipping” there is substituted “shipping and aircraft”;

(b)     after sub-paragraph (c) there is inserted –

“(d)    for the purpose of regulation 57J(1), the persons who commit the offence in Article 4(1)(a) of contravening regulation 57J(1) are the operator and pilot in command of the aircraft.”.

3        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Implementation of External Sanctions) (Russia – Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2022 and comes into force on the day after it is made.
