Road Traffic (St. Martin) (Amendment No. 11) (Jersey) Order 2017

THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE, in pursuance of Articles 62 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1] and after consultation with the Connétable of St. Martin, orders as follows –

1        Interpretation

In this Order “principal Order” means the Road Traffic (St. Martin) (Jersey) Order 1989[2].

2        Principal Order amended

In the principal Order –

(a)     for the words “Gorey Hill” wherever they occur there shall be substituted the words “Le Mont de Gouray”;

(b)     in Schedules 1, 2, 4 and 5 to the principal Order, the matter relating to Le Mont de Gouray shall be placed in the correct alphabetical sequence.

3        Article 4 amended

In Article 4 of the principal Order, after paragraph (2B) there shall be inserted the following paragraph –

“(2C) A vehicle that has waited on a road specified in the first and second columns of Schedule 5, shall be prohibited from returning to wait on that road within the period for no return specified (if any) opposite the name of the road in the third column of Schedule 5.”.

4        Schedule 2 amended

In Schedule 2 to the principal Order –

(a)     in the matter relating to Le Mont de Gouray, after the last entry in the second column there shall be added the following entry –

“South side (from the parish boundary for 40 yards in an easterly direction).”;

(b)     in the matter relating to La Grande Route de Faldouet, in the penultimate entry in the second column, for the words “110 yards” there is substituted the words “115 yards”.

5        Schedule 5 amended

In Schedule 5 to the principal Order –

(a)     in the matter relating to Le Mont de Gouray, after the entries in the second and third columns there shall be added the following entries –

 

 

“South side (from a point 40 yards east of the parish boundary to the western boundary of the property known as Le Vallet

A continuous period of 7 days with no return within a period of 24 hours after removal”;

(b)     in the matter relating to La Route de La Côte (A3), for the entry in the third column there shall be substituted the following entry –

A continuous period of 7 days with no return within a period of 24 hours after removal”.

6        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Martin) (Amendment No. 11) (Jersey) Order 2017 and shall come into force 14 days after it is made.
