EU Legislation (Sanctions – South Sudan) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2018

THE MINISTER FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS, in pursuance of Article 2 of the European Union Legislation (Implementation) (Jersey) Law 2014[1], orders as follows –

1        Amendment of Article 1 (interpretation)

In Article 1 of the EU Legislation (Sanctions – South Sudan) (Jersey) Order 2015[2], in the definition “Regulation (EU) 2015/735”, for “9th May 2015” there is substituted “13th August 2018”.

2        Amendment of Article 3 (application of general provisions)

In Article 3(3) of the EU Legislation (Sanctions – South Sudan) (Jersey) Order 2015[3], for “the UN financial sanctions resolution implemented by Regulation (EU) 2015/735 is United Nations Security Council Resolution 2206 (2015)”, there is substituted “the UN financial sanctions resolutions implemented by Regulation (EU) 2015/735 are United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2206 (2015) and 2428 (2018)”.

3        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the EU Legislation (Sanctions – South Sudan) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2018 and comes into force on the day after it is made.
