Dormant Bank Accounts (Distribution of Fund Money) (Amendment) (Jersey) Order 2023

THE CHIEF MINISTER, having consulted the Minister for Treasury and Resources, makes this Order under Articles 20 and 23 of the Dormant Bank Accounts (Jersey) Law 2017 –

1        Dormant Bank Accounts (Distribution of Fund Money) (Jersey) Order 2020 amended

This Order amends the Dormant Bank Accounts (Distribution of Fund Money) (Jersey) Order 2020.

2        Article 3 (policy in respect of amount of distribution) amended

For Article 3(3) there is substituted –

“(3)    For each of the years 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027, the Minister must meet the anticipated Charity Commissioner costs out of the remaining portion of the Fund.”.

3        Article 4 (notification and transfer from the Fund) amended

Article 4(4) is deleted.

4        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Dormant Bank Accounts (Distribution of Fund Money) (Amendment) (Jersey) Order 2023 and comes into force 7 days after it is made.
