Amendment (No. 52) of the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey

THE STATES make the following Amendment to the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey under Article 48 of the States of Jersey Law 2005 –

1        Standing Order 26 amended

In standing order 26 of the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey –

(a)     for paragraph (4A) there is substituted –

“(4A) A minimum lodging period of 12 weeks applies to a government plan, except in any year when there is an ordinary election, in which case a minimum lodging period of 10 weeks applies.”;

(b)     in paragraph (5)(b) for “6, 8 or 12 weeks” there is substituted “6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks”.

2        Citation and commencement

This Amendment may be cited as Amendment (No. 52) of the Standing Orders of the States of Jersey and comes into force on the day after it is made.
