Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture (2019 Fees) (Jersey) Order 2018

THE MINISTER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, TOURISM, SPORT AND CULTURE, in pursuance of Articles 4 and 14 of the Places of Refreshment (Jersey) Law 1967[1], Articles 9 and 32 of the Tourism (Jersey) Law 1948[2] and Article 12 of the Weights and Measures (Jersey) Law 1967[3], orders as follows –

1        Places of Refreshment (Registration) (Fees) (Jersey) Order 2008 amended

In Article 1 of the Places of Refreshment (Registration) (Fees) (Jersey) Order 2008[4] for “£92.00” there is substituted “£94.00”.

2        Tourism (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1990 amended

For Schedule 1 to the Tourism (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1990[5] there is substituted the following Schedule –

£7.54 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

2.    Guest House Register

£5.02 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

3.    Self-Catering Accommodation Register

£7.00 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

4.    Youth Hostel Register

£4.21 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

5.    Holiday Camp Register

£5.28 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

6.    Camp Site Register

£4.21 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises.”.

3        Weights and Measures (Testing Fees) (Jersey) Order 2003 amended

For the Schedule to the Weights and Measures (Testing Fees) (Jersey) Order 2003[6] there is substituted the following Schedule –

(a)     not exceeding 3m, per measure

£7.61

(b)     exceeding 3m, per measure

£20.85

(a)     per measure, when submitted in quantities of less than 100

£2.03

(b)     per measure, when submitted in quantities of 100 or more

£0.29

(a)     container types, unsubdivided, per instrument

(c)     multi-outlet types, for meters at a single site submitted on the same occasion –

          (i)      not exceeding 15kg (or 34lb)

4        Citation and commencement

(1)     This Order may be cited as the Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture (2019 Fees) (Jersey) Order 2018.

(2)     Article 2 shall come into force 7 days after the day this Order is made.

(3)     The remainder of this Order shall come into force on 1st January 2019.
