Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Amendment No. 13) (Jersey) Order 2021

1        Interpretation

This Order amends the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Jersey) Order 2003.

2        Schedule 1 (30 mph speed limit) amended

In Schedule 1 –

(a)     under the heading “St. John” in the entry “La Grande Route de St. Jean” for the words “from the southern boundary with the Parish of Trinity to a point 9 yards north of the junction with La Rue de Bechet” there is substituted “from a point 115 yards north of La Rue des Houguettes to a point 9 yards north of La Rue de Bechet”;

(b)     under the heading “Trinity” –

(i)      the first entry, “La Grande Route de St. Jean” is deleted,

(ii)      after “La Rue du Boulay (from its junction with La Rue ès Picots to a point 72 yards south of Le Chemin D’Olivet)” there is deleted “La Rue du Carrefour”,

(iii)     after “La Ruette de la Ville à l’Evêque (from a point 24 yards north of its junction with La Rue de la Monnaie)” there is deleted “La Verte Rue (from La Rue ès Picots to a point 22 yards south of La Rue du Carrefour)”.

3        Schedule 2 (20 mph speed limit) amended

In Schedule 2 –

(a)     under the heading “St. Helier” before the entry “La Rue des Canons” there is inserted “La Grande Route de St. Jean (from its northern boundary with the Parish of Trinity to a point 19 yards south of La Ruette Pinel)”;

(b)     under the heading “St. John” there is inserted –

(c)     after the heading “St. Saviour” and its entries there is inserted –

4        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Amendment No. 13) (Jersey) Order 2021 and comes into force 7 days after it is made.
