Sea Fisheries (Bag Limits) (Jersey) Order 2020

THE MINISTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT makes this Order under Article 2(4B) of the Sea Fisheries (Jersey) Law 1994 and Regulation 3 of the Sea Fisheries (Bag Limits) (Jersey) Regulations 2016 –

2        Bag limits for any person[2]

The daily limit of fish of a species or genus specified in Column 1 of the Table to the Schedule that may be taken or retained by any person is the quantity specified opposite that species or genus of fish in Column 2 of that Table.

3        Bag limits for vessels and fishing boats

(1)     Subject to Article 2, the daily limit of fish of a species or genus specified in Column 1 of the Table to the Schedule that may be taken or retained by any vessel, other than a fishing boat, is the quantity specified opposite that species or genus of fish in Column 3 of that Table.[3]

(2)     Subject to Article 2, the daily limit of fish of a species or genus specified in Column 1 of the Table to the Schedule that may be taken or retained by a fishing boat is –

(a)     the quantity specified, including a zero quantity, opposite that species or genus of fish in Column 4 of that Table; or

(b)     if no such quantity is specified, the quantity permitted to be taken or retained under the fishing boat licence (within the meaning of the Sea Fisheries (Licensing of Fishing Boats) (Jersey) Regulations 2003) that relates to the fishing boat.[4]

5        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Sea Fisheries (Bag Limits) (Jersey) Order 2020 and comes into force 7 days after it is made.
