Child Abduction and
Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Jersey) Order 2006
1 Parties to the Hague Convention
(1) For
the purposes of the Hague Convention as it has force of law under Part 2
of the Child
Abduction and Custody (Jersey) Law 2005, the Contracting States to
that Convention (other than the United Kingdom) are as specified in column 1 of
Schedule 1.
(2) Where
the Hague Convention applies, or applies only, to a particular territory or
particular territories specified in a declaration made by a Contracting State
under Article 39 or Article 40 of the Hague Convention, the territory
or territories to which it applies are as specified in column 2 of Schedule 1.
(3) The
date of the coming into force of the Hague Convention as between Jersey and any
State or territory specified in Schedule 1 is as specified in column 3 of
that Schedule.
2 Parties
to the European Convention
(1) For
the purposes of the European Convention as it has force of law under Part 3
of the Child
Abduction and Custody (Jersey) Law 2005, the Contracting States to
that Convention (other than the United Kingdom) are as specified in column 1 of
Schedule 2.
(2) Where
the European Convention applies, or applies only, to a particular territory or
particular territories specified in a declaration made by a Contracting State
under Article 24 or Article 25 of the European Convention, the
territory or territories to which it applies are as specified in column 2 of
Schedule 2.
(3) The
date of the coming into force of the European Convention as between Jersey and
any State or territory specified in Schedule 2 is as specified in column 3
of that Schedule.
3 Citation
This Order may be cited
as the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Jersey)
Order 2006.
