States of Jersey Police Force (Transitional Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2014

1        Interpretation

In this Order –

“1974 Law” means the Police Force (Jersey) Law 1974;

“2012 Law” means the States of Jersey Police Force Law 2012.

2        Article 9 of the 1974 Law

Notwithstanding the repeal of Article 9 of the 1974 Law by the 2012 Law, subject to paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the 2012 Law, until such time as Regulations under Article 9 of the 2012 Law come into force, Article 9(1), (2), (4) and (5) of the 1974 Law shall be treated as if they remained in force.

3        Article 8 of the 1974 Law and the Police Force (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1974

Notwithstanding the repeal of Article 8 of the 1974 Law by the 2012 Law, the Police Force (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1974 shall be treated as if it remained in force until such time as an Order under Articles 10 and 13 of the 2012 Law comes into force.

4        Police Force (Disposal of Property) (Jersey) Regulations 1975

Notwithstanding the amendments made to Article 20 of the 1974 Law by the 2012 Law, the Police Force (Disposal of Property) (Jersey) Regulations 1975 shall continue to apply to the States of Jersey Police Force until such time as an Order under Article 28 of the 2012 Law comes into force.

5        Citation

This Order may be cited as the States of Jersey Police Force (Transitional Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2014.
