ANSWER OUT OF TIME AND ADDITIONAL PLEADINGS

         If, in a cause already set down on the undefended list, the respondent desires to apply for leave to file an answer out of time, the application shall be made by summons to the Greffier.

         Any application under Rule 17 or Rule 19(3) of the Matrimonial Causes Rules 2005 or Rule 23 or Rule 25(3) of the Civil Partners Causes Rules 2012, must be supported by (a) an affidavit of merit and (b) a draft of the pleading to which the application refers.

         The Court or the Greffier may decline to consider any application unless made strictly in accordance with these conditions.
