Water Resources
(Charges) (Jersey) Order 2009
1 Periodic charge payable by a licensee in
respect of a water resources licence
(1) Except as provided by
paragraph (3), the licensee under a water resources licence must pay to
the regulator –
(a) where
the licence permits the licensee to abstract more than 15 but not exceeding 100
cubic meters of water in any period of 24 hours, an annual charge of £51.40;
(b) where
the licence permits the licensee to abstract more than 100 but not exceeding
250 cubic meters of water in any period of 24 hours, an annual charge of £103.90;
(c) except
as provided by sub-paragraph (d), where the licence permits the licensee
to abstract more than 250 cubic meters of water in any period of 24 hours,
an annual charge of £156.00; and
(d) where
the licensee is the Company, an annual charge of £129,948.50.[1]
(2) Except as provided by
paragraph (3), the charge mentioned in paragraph (1) must be paid
before the 1st January in each year.
(3) Where a water resources
licence is granted for a period that starts after the 1st January in any
year the charge to be paid under paragraph (1) in respect of that
year –
(a) must
be paid before the grant of the licence; and
(b) shall
be an amount equal to the sum of one twelfth of the amount that would otherwise
be payable under paragraph (1) for each complete month of the year that
will pass after the start of the licence.

This Order may be cited as the Water Resources (Charges) (Jersey)
Order 2009.
