Covid-19 (Rates) (Jersey) Regulations 2020

1        Calculation of Island-wide Rates Figure for 2020

(1)     Instead of using the Annual Island-wide Rates Figure for 2020 calculated under Article 20(1) of the Rates (Jersey) Law 2005, the Island-wide rate for 2020 is to be calculated under Article 20(4) of that Law by using the Annual Island-wide Rates Figure for 2019.

(2)     Nothing in paragraph (1) is to be read as derogating from the requirement for the Annual Island-wide Rates Figure for 2021 to be calculated under Article 20(1) of the Rates (Jersey) Law 2005 using the Annual Island-wide Rates Figure for 2020.

2        Citation, commencement and expiry

(1)     These Regulations may be cited as the Covid-19 (Rates) (Jersey) Regulations 2020.

(2)     These Regulations come into force on the day after they are made and expire at the end of 2020.
