A LAW to provide for the separation
of judicial and legislative functions
Commencement

1 Separation of functions
(1) A Jurat shall not be
disqualified for being elected to the office of Senator or Deputy, but the Jurat
shall cease to hold the office of Jurat on taking the oath of that office.[1]
(2) A Senator or Deputy
shall not be disqualified for being appointed to the office of Jurat, but the
Senator or Deputy shall cease to hold that office on taking the oath of office
of Jurat.[2]
2 Citation
This Law may be cited as the Judicial and Legislative Functions
(Separation) (Jersey) Law 1951.
