Restriction on
Smoking (Notice for Vending Machines) (Jersey) Order 2006
1 Interpretation
In this Order,
“Regulations” means the Restriction on Smoking (Vending Machines)
(Jersey) Regulations 2006.
2 Application
This Order applies to a
notice in respect of which provision has been made in Regulation 5(1) of
the Regulations.
3 Requirements
for notice
(1) A
notice that is to be displayed and permanently affixed on a vending machine
under Regulation 5(1) of the Regulations shall meet the requirements of
the Schedule.
(2) A
person who displays, or causes to be displayed, a notice referred to in
Regulation 5(1) of the Regulations shall ensure that the notice meets the
requirements of the Schedule.
4 Citation
This Order may be cited as the Restriction on Smoking (Notice for
Vending Machines) (Jersey) Order 2006.
SCHEDULE
(Article 3)

1 Notice size
The notice shall be 85
millimetres in length and 55 millimetres in height.
2 Statement on notice
(1) The
words “It is prohibited for a person under the age of 18 to use this
vending machine to purchase tobacco” shall be –
(a) positioned
in the centre of the notice; and
(b) printed
in Arial black font in font size 15 point with character spacing set to normal.
(2) The
words “Restriction on Smoking (Vending Machines) (Jersey)
Regulations 2006” shall be –
(a) positioned
in the centre of the notice under the words, referred to in paragraph (1),
that are to be stated in the notice; and
(b) printed
in Arial black font in font size 10 point with character spacing set to normal.
