HARBOURS (AMENDMENT No. 16) (JERSEY) REGULATIONS, 1986.

THE STATES, in pursuance of Article 4 of the Harbours Administration (Jersey) Law, 1961,1 as amended, have made the following Regulations –

1.             In paragraph (3) of Regulation 1 of the Harbours (Jersey) Regulations, 1962, as amended,2 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Regulations”) for the words “fifty pounds” there shall be substituted the words “five hundred pounds”.

2.             In paragraph (2) of Regulation 2 of the principal Regulations for the words “five pounds” there shall be substituted the words “twenty pounds”.

3.             In paragraph (1) of Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations for the words “fifty pounds” there shall be substituted the words “five hundred pounds”.

4.             Paragraph (2) of Regulation 7 of the principal Regulations shall be deleted.

5.             In paragraph (e) of Regulation 17 of the principal Regulations for the words “twenty yards” there shall be substituted the words “twenty metres”.

6.             In Regulation 19 of the principal Regulations for the words “one hundred feet” there shall be substituted the words “thirty metres”.

7.             In Regulation 22 of the principal Regulations for the words “one hundred pounds” there shall be substituted the words “one thousand pounds”.

8.             In the definition of “petroleum spirit” in Regulation 23 of the principal Regulations for the words “seventy-three degrees Fahrenheit” there shall be substituted the words “twenty-three degrees Celsius”.

9.             In Regulation 23L of the principal Regulations for the words “one hundred pounds” and “ten pounds” there shall be substituted the words “one thousand pounds” and “one hundred pounds” respectively.

10.          In Regulation 30 of the principal Regulations for the words “ten pounds”, “fifty pounds” and “two pounds” there shall be substituted the words “two hundred pounds”, “five hundred pounds” and “twenty pounds” respectively.

11.          These Regulations may be cited as the Harbours (Amendment No. 16) (Jersey) Regulations, 1986 and shall come into force forthwith on promulgation.
