COURT OF APPEAL (CIVIL) (AMENDMENT) (JERSEY) RULES 1990

IN THE COURT OF APPEAL OF JERSEY

THE COURT OF APPEAL, in pursuance of Article 19 of the Court of Appeal (Jersey) Law 1961,1 as amended, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, has made the following Rules –

1.             In Rule 16(2) of the Court of Appeal (Civil) (Jersey) Rules 19642 (hereinafter called “the principal Rules”), for the words “on application made before the expiration of that period”, there shall be substituted the words “at any time”.

2.             After Rule 16(2) of the principal Rules, there shall be inserted the following paragraph –

“(3)        Without prejudice to the power of the Court or a Judge thereof under paragraph (1) or of the Court below under paragraph (2) of this Rule, where leave to appeal is required and is granted, the time for serving a notice of appeal shall be automatically extended by seven days from the date of the grant of leave to appeal.”

3.             These Rules may be cited as the Court of Appeal (Civil) (Amendment) (Jersey) Rules 1990, and shall come into force forthwith.
