amend further the European Communities (Jersey) Law, 1973, sanctioned by Order
of the Counsellors of State in Council of the
21st day of OCTOBER 1987.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –
ARTICLE
1
(1) At
the end of the definition of “the European Court” in paragraph (1)
of Article 1 of the European Communities (Jersey) Law, 1973, as amended, there shall be added the following
words “or any court attached thereto”.
(2) At
the end of sub-paragraph (e) of the definition of “the Treaties” or
“the Community Treaties” in the said paragraph (1), the word “and” shall be deleted and
after sub-paragraph (f) of the said paragraph there shall be added the
following sub-paragraph –
“(g) the
following provisions of the Single European Act signed at Luxembourg on 17th
February 1986, namely Title II (amendment of the treaties establishing the
Communities) and, so far as they relate to any of the Communities or any
Community institutions, the preamble and Titles I (common provisions) and IV
(general and final provisions);”.

This Law may be cited as the European Communities (Amendment No. 2)
(Jersey) Law, 1987.
