Insurance Business (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Order 2004

THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 5 and 38 of the Insurance Business (Jersey) Law 1996[1] and on the recommendation of the Jersey Financial Services Commission, orders as follows –

1        Article 4 amended

In Article 4 of the Insurance Business (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1996[2] –

(a)     in paragraph (a)(i) for “£3,500” there shall be substituted “£4,000”;

(b)     in paragraph (a)(ii) for “£1,750” there shall be substituted “£2,000”;

(c)     in paragraph (b)(i) for “£6,000” there shall be substituted “£7,000”; and

(d)     in paragraph (b)(ii) for “£3,000” there shall be substituted “£3,500”.

2        Application

This Order shall apply to Category A permits and Category B permits granted or renewed on or after 1st August 2004.

3        Revocation

The Insurance Business (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2000[3] shall be revoked.

4        Citation and commencement

(1)     This Order may be cited as the Insurance Business (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Order 2004.

(2)     It shall come into force on 1st August 2004.
