Traffic (St. Clement) (Amendment No. 22)
(Jersey) Order 2013
Made 14th June 2013
Coming into force 21st June 2013
THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 62
and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1], and after consultation with the
Connétable of St. Clement, orders as follows –
1 Road Traffic (St. Clement) (Jersey) Order 1987
amended
(1) The Road Traffic
(St. Clement) (Jersey) Order 1987[2] is amended as set out in
this Order.
(2) Accordingly, a
reference in this Order to an Article or Schedule by number is a reference to
the Article or Schedule of that number in the Road Traffic (St. Clement)
(Jersey) Order 1987[3].
2 Article 4 amended
In Article 4(4), for sub-paragraph (b) there are
substituted the following sub-paragraphs –
“(b) indicate on the parking disc a time different from that at which
the vehicle was first parked on that road;
(c) alter the time of arrival indicated on the parking disc whilst
the vehicle is parked on any part of that road during the 2 hour period
permitted under paragraph (1)(a); or
(d) park in any part of the same road within one hour after the
expiry of the 2 hour period permitted under paragraph (1)(a).”.
3 Article 5 amended
For Article 5(2), there is substituted the following paragraph –
“(2) Nothing in paragraph (1) shall prevent the driving on any of
the said specified roads or parts of a road of –
(a) any vehicle which is being used for the purpose of access to any
premises situated alongside the said specified roads or parts of a road;
(b) an omnibus (within the meaning of the Motor
Traffic Law) in the course of providing a service authorized by a omnibus
service licence granted under Article 19
of the Motor Traffic Law;
(c) a vehicle being used for fire brigade,
ambulance, police or other emergency purposes;
(d) pedal cycles.”.
4 Schedule 1 amended
In Schedule 1, after the item relating to The Avenue, there is
inserted the following item and entry –

“Georgetown Park Estate, from a point 68 yards from its
junction with Dicq Road
|
traffic shall circulate in an anticlockwise direction”.

5 Schedule 2 amended
In Schedule 2, in the entry relating to –
(a) La Grande Route de la
Côte, for paragraph (f) there is substituted the following
paragraph –

|
“(f)
|
both sides, from a point 50 yards west of the entrance to Sydney
Crill Park to the boundary of the Parish of Grouville;”; and
|
(b) La Grève d’Azette, in paragraph (c),
for the words “Maison Victor Hugo Development Site” there are substituted the
words “Maison Victor Apartments”.
6 Schedule 3 amended
In Schedule 3, in the entry relating to La Grève d’Azette, for
the words “Maison Victor Hugo Development Site” there are substituted the words
“Maison Victor Apartments”.
7 Schedule 4 amended
In Schedule 4, for the entry in the first column there is
substituted the following entry –

“Le Squez Road between its junction with Sarina Road and School
Road”
|

8 Citation and
commencement
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Clement)
(Amendment No. 22) (Jersey) Order 2013 and shall come into force
7 days after the day on which it is made.
