THE CHIEF MINISTER, in pursuance of Articles 2(5) and 25(7) of the Control of Housing
and Work (Jersey) Law 2012[1], orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order –
“Law” means the
Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012[2];
“R.69/2013” means
the report presented to the States by the Chief Minister on 26th June 2013
entitled “Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012: Guidance
– Control Provisions”;
“R.70/2013” means
the report presented to the States by the Chief Minister on 26th June 2013
entitled “Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012: Guidance
– Temporary Absence”.
2 Date
guidance comes into effect
(1) The
guidance issued under Article 25(7) of the Law concerning the application
of provisions in the Law regarding significant change in the ownership of an
undertaking that is not a company with a share capital as set out in R.69/2013
shall come into effect on 1st July 2013.
(2) The
guidance issued under Article 2(3) of the Law concerning the effect on a
person’s residential and employment status of any temporary absence from
Jersey as set out in R.70/2013 shall come into effect on 1st July 2013.
3 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Control of Housing and Work (Guidance on Temporary Absence and Significant
Ownership) (Jersey) Order 2013 and shall come into force on 1st
July 2013.
