THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Article 10 of the Tourism (Jersey) Law 1948,[1] orders as follows –

1        Substitution of First Schedule

For the First Schedule to the Tourism (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1990[2] there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order.

2        Revocations

The Tourism (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 9) (Jersey) Order 2002[3] and the Tourism (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 10) (Jersey) Order 2003[4] shall be revoked.

3        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Tourism (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 11) (Jersey) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st October 2004.

      (a)   Premises graded under Article 20 of the Law –

 

             (i)     1 Sun

£4.60 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

             (ii)    2 or 3 Suns

£5.95 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

             (iii)    4 or 5 Suns

£8.00 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

      (b)   Registered (ungraded) premises

£4.60 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

      (c)   Premises awaiting grading

£5.95 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

2.   Guest House Register –

 

      (a)   Premises graded under Article 20 of the Law

£4.30 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

      (b)   Registered (ungraded) premises

£4.30 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

      (c)   Premises awaiting grading

£4.30 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

3.   Self Catering Accommodation Register

£5.95 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

4.   Youth Hostel Register

£3.55 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

5.   Holiday Camp Register

£4.60 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises

6.   Camp Site Register

£3.55 multiplied by the number of persons who can be lodged on the premises.”.
