Traffic (St. Brelade) (Amendment No. 20) (Jersey) Order 2020

THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE after consultation with the Connétable of St. Brelade, makes
this Order under Articles 62 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1] –
1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal
Order” means the Road Traffic (St. Brelade)
(Jersey) Order 1990[2].
2 Schedule 2 (prohibition of waiting) amended
In Schedule 2 to the
principal Order –
(a) before the first item relating
to “Charing Cross” there is inserted –
|
“Belle Vue
|
North west side (from its
junction with Vue des Mielles Belle Vue) to a point
26 yards in a westerly direction)”;
|
(b) in the item relating to
La Neuve Route, in the first entry referring to the
west side from Le Mont au Roux, for “86” there is substituted “92”;
(c) in the item relating to
“La Route de Noirmont” after the existing entry
referring to Travers Farm Lane there is inserted –
“West side (from a point 37 yards north of its junction with
Travers Farm Lane for a distance of 82 yards in a northerly direction).
East side (from its junction with Travers Farm Lane for a distance
of 123 yards in a northerly direction).”;
(d) in the item relating to
“La Rue Voisin” for the entry relating to the “West
side” there is substituted –
“West side (from a point 80 yards south of its junction with Le Chemin du Portelet for a distance
of 70 yards in a southerly direction).
West side (from a point 165 yards south of its junction with Le Chemin du Portelet for a distance
of 86 yards in a southerly direction).”;
(e) after the item relating
to “The approach road to Le Braye Slip” there is
inserted –

“The approach road to St. Brelade’s
Bay Slip
|
East side (from its junction
with La Route de la Baie).”.

3 Schedule 3 (roads closed to vehicles
exceeding 7½ tons) amended
In Part 2 of Schedule
3 to the principal Order, after the item relating to La Rue du Crocquet there is inserted –

“Le Mont de la Rocque
|
The entire road.”.
|
4 Schedule 8 (duration of parking on
certain roads) amended
In Schedule 8 to the
principal Order –
(a) after the item relating
to Le Mont de la Rocque there is inserted –
|
“La Montée du Sud Access Road
|
East side (from its junction
with La Route de la Pulente to its junction
with La Montée du Sud).”;
|
(b) in the item relating to
La Neuve Route for “86” there is substituted “92”;
(c) after the item relating
to La Rue du Croquet there is inserted –

“La Rue Voisin
|
West side (from its junction with Le Chemin
du Portelet for a distance of 80 yards in a
southerly direction).
West side (from a point 150 yards south of its junction with Le Chemin du Portelet for a
distance of 15 yards in a southerly direction).”.

5 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited
as the Road Traffic (St. Brelade) (Amendment No. 20)
(Jersey) Order 2020 and comes into force 7 days after the day it is
made.
