ROAD TRAFFIC (SAINT LAWRENCE) (AMENDMENT No. 13) (JERSEY) ORDER 2000

____________

 

                THE PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 33 and 42 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, as amended,[1] and after consultation with the Connétable of Saint Lawrence, orders as follows -

 

                1.      In this Order “principal Order” means the Road Traffic (Saint Lawrence) (Jersey) Order 1990,[2] as amended.[3]

 

                2.      After Article 7I of the principal Order there shall be inserted the following Article -

 

Duration of parking on certain roads

 

          7J.    No vehicle shall be parked on a road specified in Part II of the Sixth Schedule for a total period exceeding 12 hours in any continuous period of 24 hours.”.

 

                3.      In Part I of the Third Schedule to the principal Order -

 

                (a)     after the item “La Grande Route de St. Laurent in the first column and the entries opposite it in the second column there shall be inserted the following item and entry -

 

“La Rue

Both sides (from its junction with La Grande Route de St. Laurent to La Ruette D’Avranches).”;

 

                (b)     after the first entry in the second column opposite the item “La Route de L’Eglise” in the first column there shall be inserted the following entry -

 

“The north and east sides (from its junction with La Grande Route de St. Laurent to its junction with the unnamed road that runs between the Parish Church and the Parish Hall).”;

 

                (c)     in relation to the item “St. Aubin’s Road” in the first column -

 

                          (i)      for the third entry in the second column opposite that item there shall be substituted the following entry -

 

“South side (from the east side of the main gate entrance to the Coronation Park to a point 10 yards west of the eastern boundary of the Millbrook Playing Fields.”; and

 

                          (ii)     in the fifth entry in the second column opposite that item after the words “parish boundary” there shall be inserted the words “with St. Helier”; and

 

                (d)     after the item “Sandybrook Lane” in the first column and the entry opposite it in the second column there shall be inserted the following item and entry -

 

“The unnamed road that runs between the Parish Church and the Parish Hall

South side.”

 

                4.      In the Sixth Schedule to the principal Order -

 

                (a)     before the heading “(Article 7B)” there shall be inserted the heading “PART I”; and

 

                (b)     after Part I there shall be inserted the following new Part -

 

“PART II

 

(Article 7J)

La Route de L’Eglise

South side.

 

Rue de Haut

West side (from its junction with La Vallee de St. Pierre to its junction with La Ruelle Corbel).

 

St. Aubin’s Road

South side (from a point 50 yards west of its junction with La Rue de Galet to   the eastern side of the  main gate entrance to Coronation Park).

 

 

South side (from a point 10 yards west of the eastern boundary of the Millbrook Playing Fields to the western boundary of the Millbrook playing fields).

 

 

South side (from the eastern boundary of Bel Royal Terrace to a point 10 yards from its junction with La Vallee de St. Pierre).

 

The unnamed road that runs between the Parish Church and the Parish Hall

North side.”.

                5.      This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Saint Lawrence) (Amendment No. 13) (Jersey) Order 2000 and shall come into force on the ninth day of January 2001.
