Services (2014 Fees) (Jersey) Order 2013

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 20
and 58 of the Food Safety (Jersey) Law 1966[1], Articles 2 and 6 of the
Nursing Agencies (Jersey) Law 1978[2], Articles 4 and 15 of the
Nursing and Residential Homes (Jersey) Law 1994[3], Article 10(8) of the
Dentists Registration (Jersey) Law 1961[4], Article 4 of the Cremation
(Jersey) Law 1953[5] and Article 2 of the
Hospital Charges (Long-Stay Patients) (Jersey) Law 1999[6], orders as follows –
1 Food Safety (Ice-Cream Stalls etc.)
(Jersey) Order 1969 amended
In Article 3(2) of the Food Safety
(Ice-Cream Stalls etc.) (Jersey) Order 1969[7] for the amount “£107.43”
there is substituted the amount “£110.12”.
2 Nursing
Agencies (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1978 amended
For Article 2(2) and (3) of the Nursing Agencies (General
Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1978[8] there are substituted the
following paragraphs –
“(2) Subject to paragraph (3),
the appropriate fee for a licence shall be £266.00 in the case of a first
application for a licence and £131.38 in the case of renewal of a licence
by the same person in respect of the same premises.
(3) Where the application is made by reason only
that it is proposed to carry on an agency in respect of which a licence is held
on different premises, the fee shall be £104.47.”.
3 Nursing
Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1995
amended
In the Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (General Provisions)
(Jersey) Order 1995[9] –
(a) in Article 3 –
(i) in
paragraph (a) for the amount “£75.37” there is
substituted the amount “£77.25”,
(ii) in
paragraph (b) for the amount “£177.95” there is
substituted the amount “£182.40”;
(b) in Article 4(1)
for the amount “£90.88” there is substituted the amount
“£93.15”.
4 Residential
Homes (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1995 amended
In the Residential Homes (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1995[10] –
(a) in Article 3 –
(i) in
paragraph (a) for the amount “£75.37” there is
substituted the amount “£77.25”,
(ii) in
paragraph (b) for the amount “£177.95” there is
substituted the amount “£182.40”;
(b) in Article 4(1)
for the amount “£90.88” there is substituted the amount
“£93.15”.
5 Dentists
(Ancillary Dental Workers – Fees) (Jersey) Order 2007 amended
In Article 1 of the Dentists (Ancillary Dental Workers –
Fees) (Jersey) Order 2007[11] –
(a) in paragraph (a)
for the amount “£45.18” there is substituted the amount
“£46.31”;
(b) in paragraph (b)
for the amount “£26.53” there is substituted the amount “£27.19”;
(c) in paragraph (c)
for the amount “£45.18” there is substituted the amount
“£46.31”.
6 Cremation
(Fees) (Jersey) Order 2007 amended
In the Cremation (Fees) (Jersey) Order 2007[12] –
(a) in Article 1(b)
for the amount “£615” there is substituted the amount
“£676.50”;
(b) in Article 2
for the amount “£52.22” there is substituted the amount
“£53.53”.
7 Hospital
Charges (Long-Stay Patients) (Jersey) Order 2007 amended
In the Hospital Charges (Long-Stay Patients) (Jersey) Order 2007[13] for Article 1(1) there is
substituted the following paragraph –
“(1) Except as provided by paragraph (2),
where a hospital provides accommodation services to a long-stay patient over
the age of 65, the Minister shall make and recover from the patient a charge
for the provision of the services of £485.31 a week or, in the case of
any period of less than a week, £69.33 a day.”.
8 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Health and Social Services (2014
Fees) (Jersey) Order 2013 and comes into force on 1st January 2014.
