THE STATES, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon them by Article 20 of the Motor Traffic (Third-Party Insurance)
(Jersey) Law, 1948, (hereinafter referred to as
“the Law”), have made the following Act : -
1. The
provisions of the Law mentioned in the First Schedule hereto shall come into
force for all purposes on the first day of November, nineteen hundred and
forty-eight.
2. The
provisions of the Law mentioned in the first column of the Second Schedule
hereto shall come into force for the purposes mentioned in the second column of
the said Schedule on the eighth day of November, nineteen hundred and
forty-eight.
3. The
provisions of the Law mentioned in the Third Schedule hereto shall come into
force for all purposes on the first day of January, nineteen hundred and
forty-nine.
4. This
Act may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Third-Party Insurance) (Jersey) Law,
1948 (Commencement) Act, 1948.
