Sea Fisheries (General Fees) (Jersey) Order 2010

THE MINISTER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, in pursuance of Regulation 7(5) of the Sea Fisheries (Licensing of Fishing Boats) (Jersey) Regulations 2003, Regulation 3 of the Sea Fisheries (Underwater Fishing) (Jersey) Regulations 2003 and Regulations 2 and 5 of the Sea Fisheries (Fisheries) (Jersey) Regulations 2010, orders as follows –

1        Charge for fishing boat licence[1]

For the purposes of Regulation 7 of the Sea Fisheries (Licensing of Fishing Boats) (Jersey) Regulations 2003, the prescribed charge for the grant of a fishing boat licence is £120.50 (whether the licence is a class A licence or a class B licence).

2        Fees for scallop permits[2]

For the purposes of Regulation 3 of the Sea Fisheries (Underwater Fishing) (Jersey) Regulations 2003, the prescribed fee for the grant of a permit to take scallops is –

(a)     if the permit is for the taking of scallops in unlimited quantities, £106; or

(b)     if the permit is for the taking of a maximum of 24 scallops per day, £22.

3        Fees for fisheries licence

(1)     For the purposes of Regulation 2 of the Sea Fisheries (Fisheries) (Jersey) Regulations 2010, the prescribed fee to accompany an application for a sea fisheries licence is £219.60.[3]

(2)     For the purposes of Regulation 5 of the Sea Fisheries (Fisheries) (Jersey) Regulations 2010, the prescribed fee –

(a)     on the grant or renewal of a sea fisheries licence is –

(i)      £219.60, and

(ii)      £33.20 per hectare of the sea bed in the fishery to which the licence relates; and

(b)     thereafter is an annual charge of the amounts specified in sub-paragraph (a).[4]

4        Citation

This Order may be cited as the Sea Fisheries (General Fees) (Jersey) Order 2010.
