EU Legislation (Veterinary and Zootechnical Checks – Trade with Member States) (Fees and Expenses) (Jersey) Order 2016

1        Interpretation

In this Order, a reference to a Regulation is to the Regulation of that number in the EU Legislation (Veterinary and Zootechnical Checks – Trade with Member States) (Jersey) Regulations 2016.

2        Fees associated with certificate required under Regulation 5(2) of the principal Regulations

(1)     The fee for the issue of a certificate required under Regulation 5(2)(a) or (b) is £71.50.[1]

(2)     The fee for the verification of a certificate required under Regulation 5(2)(a) or (b) by an inspector who is not an official veterinarian is £55.30.[2]

3        Expenses charged under Regulation 26(1) of the principal Regulations

(1)     The following expenses are prescribed for the purposes of Regulation 26(1) –

(a)     £53.30 for each unit of 30 minutes (or part) of the time of an inspector who is also an official veterinarian;

(b)     £28.10 for each unit of 30 minutes (or part) of the time of any other inspector; and

(c)     the cost of –

(i)      any test kit used by the official veterinarian or inspector, and

(ii)      any sample analysis procured by the official veterinarian or inspector from a third party supplier.[3]

(2)     The expenses prescribed under paragraph (1) do not apply to any time taken, or test used or procured, for the purposes of issuing or verifying a certificate required under Regulation 5(2)(a) or (b).

4        Citation

This Order may be cited as the EU Legislation (Veterinary and Zootechnical Checks – Trade with Member States) (Fees and Expenses) (Jersey) Order 2016.
