(Licence Fee) (Jersey) Order 2008
1 Interpretation
In this Order, “principal Law” means the Animal Welfare (Jersey) Law 2004.
2 Licence
fee – breeding for sale of domestic animals[1]
The fee payable on an application for a licence
under Article 17 of the principal Law to undertake the activities
described in Article 14(2)(a) of that Law, in the course
of carrying on a business, shall be –
(a) on a first application
for a licence –
(i) where less than
10 female cats, dogs, guinea pigs, horses or rabbits are to be kept at any
premises for the purposes of breeding for sale, whether by the person
commencing or carrying on the business or any other person, £159.50,
(ii) where 10 or more
female cats, dogs, guinea pigs, horses or rabbits are to be kept any premises
for the purposes of breeding for sale, whether by the person commencing or
carrying on the business or any other person, £240;
(b) on an application for a
licence to take effect on the expiry of an existing licence –
(i) where less than
10 female cats, dogs, guinea pigs, horses or rabbits are to be kept at any
premises for the purposes of breeding for sale, whether by the person carrying
on the business or any other person, £145.50,
(ii) where 10 or more
female cats, dogs, guinea pigs, horses or rabbits are to be kept at any
premises for the purposes of breeding for sale, whether by the person carrying
on the business or any other person, £177.
3 Licence
fee – kennels and catteries[2]
The fee payable on an application for a licence
under Article 17 of the principal Law to undertake the activities
described in Article 14(2)(b) of that Law, in the course
of carrying on a business, shall be –
(a) on a first application
for a licence –
(i) where
accommodation is to be provided for less than 10 dogs or cats, £159.50,
(ii) where
accommodation is to be provided for 10 or more dogs or cats, £240;
(b) on an application for a
licence to take effect on the expiry of an existing licence –
(i) where
accommodation is to be provided for less than 10 dogs or cats, £145.50,
(ii) where
accommodation is to be provided for 10 or more dogs or cats, £177.
4 Licence
fee – other activities[3]
The fee payable on an application for a licence
under Article 17 of the principal Law to undertake any of the activities
described in Article 14(2)(c), (d), (e) or (f) of that Law, in the course
of carrying on a business, shall be –
(a) on a first application
for a licence, £122.90;
(b) on an application for a
licence to take effect on the expiry of an existing licence, £106.
5 Licence
fee – animal sanctuary[4]
The fee payable on an application for a licence under Article 17
of the principal Law to establish or keep an animal sanctuary, within the
meaning of that Law, shall be –
(a) on a
first application for a licence, £122.90;
(b) on an
application for a licence to take effect on the expiry of an existing licence, £106.
6 Citation
This Order may be cited as the Animal Welfare (Licence Fee) (Jersey) Order 2008.
