THE STATES, in pursuance of Article 1 of the Restriction on Smoking (Jersey) Law 1973, have made the following Regulations –
Commencement [see endnotes]

The sale of cigarettes to a person under the age of 18 is prohibited[1].

For the purposes of these Regulations, “cigarette” includes cut tobacco rolled in paper, tobacco leaf, or other material in such form as to be capable of immediate use for smoking.
2A Offence and penalty[2]
A person who contravenes Regulation 1 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of level 3 on the standard scale.

These Regulations may be cited as the Restriction on Smoking (Sales of Cigarettes to Children) (Jersey) Regulations 1992.
